We regard travel insurance as very important and worth your consideration. TravelSafe is available to all of our clients who reside in the United States and Canada*.

TravelSafe offers coverage for: trip cancellation and interruption; baggage protection; medical expenses; accidental death and dismemberment; emergency evacuation and repatriation; and emergency assistance service.

The Best of New Zealand strongly recommends full travel insurance, which includes trip cancellation and interruption. Most of the exclusive lodges and fishing guides used in our itineraries are quite small; have a relative short season; and usually are unable to replace a booking that cancels at the last minute. Therefore, they require significant deposits and prepayment before departure.

Trip cancellation insurance responds to situations where someone has deposited and/or made final payment only to find he/she is unable to travel for any of the “covered” reasons. It covers death, injury or non-pre-existing* sickness involving you, immediate family members, traveling companions and business partners.

*PLEASE NOTE the Pre-Existing Conditions exclusion waiver if insurance is purchased within 21 days of the date your initial trip deposit is received**.
