Client trip review - Gary Bone
Excursions we might pass on (next time):
- Dart River Jet Boat, only because we think it contributed to
us both getting bronchitis. As a note, interacting with urgent care clinics and
pharmacies allowed us to meet Kiwis in an unexpected, but not unpleasant way,
so it was a net positive.
- Hobbiton. We did that tour mostly for our grandsons, who are
Lord Of The Rings fans. Also, it rained sideways while we were there. Just a
personal preference, I guess.
Really well done:
- Your response to working us around the damage at Kaikoura
from the earthquake was incredibly good — flights, car rentals, the George
Hotel, everything!
- Every single accommodation exceeded our expectations as to
its quality, food, service and friendliness.
- The optional excursions/trips were excellent, especially
Milford Sound, Waiheke Island Wine Tour and the Green Shell Mussel Cruise.
- The fly fishing was exceptional, including locations,
fishing and guides. I especially appreciated the lengths to which both Daryl
Paskell and Mark Aspinall went to put me on great fish, and explain the
process. Mark’s sense of humour was beyond entertaining
- Every restaurant you suggested was exceptional.
Mike, overall we thoroughly enjoyed the trip that you put
together. If it were not for riding an airplane for 13 hours between LA and
Auckland, we would probably do a trip there every few years. We have
recommended you to a number of friends and family members. I have about a half
hour slide show on my Mac that we have shown to quite a few folks, with a
strong rec for BONZ. I hope that results in some more business for you. We will
continue to talk you up here over time.
I consider our trip to be the trip of a lifetime that has
included trips all over the world. There are a few others that came close, but
not quite as good. I doubt that we’ll experience many more 7.8 earthquakes
during our travel, and everything that comes with that experience. I also doubt
that we will find many more travel operators as competent or thorough as BONZ!
Well done!
Best Regards, Gary Bone
