Cottages, villas & apartments
The development of infrastructure to serve tourists in all parts of New Zealand over the last seven to eight years has been absolutely incredible. The days of sleeping in a spare bedroom with the stuffed animals of a child who vacated the room for the night and sharing the host family's bathroom are long gone. All levels of accommodations are now available to our clients: the "super luxury lodges" (with several ranking in the top ten small resorts of the world); luxurious bed & breakfasts; delightful farm stays and a variety of cottages, apartments, and rental homes.
Both specially-built and refurbished historic buildings provide facilities that equal a five star hotel, but come with friendly kiwi hospitality unmatched in most other destinations.
We have sought out a number of unique two and three bedroom cottages, villas, and apartments in spectacular locations (vineyards, beaches, lakes, rivers, hilltops, etc.) that offer every amenity to ensure comfortable and enjoyable stays. These properties are especially well suited (and offer great value) for families and two couples traveling together. We are pleased to share photos of some of these properties.
Farm Cottages
Two one-bedroom cottages and one two-bedroom cottage set among the old trees and stone house of the original station homestead. Located on a high country 95,000 acre sheep and cattle station situated one hour's drive from Queenstown and Te Anau. The Mataura River, a world famous trout fishing river, winds its way for approximately 12 miles through the southern end of the property.
Vineyard Cottage
Located in the heart of the vineyard, surrounded by grapes and almond, olive and citrus trees, the cottage looks out from its slight rise above the vines to a vista that stretches right across the beauti
ful province of Hawke's Bay. This two-bedroom/two-bathroom cottage is in the heart of New Zealand's premier wine region and many of the country's most famous wine names are literally on your doorstep. Beautiful beaches, golf courses, trout fishing rivers and shopping are all just minutes away. Included are stereo with CD player; SKY tv/video; large double oven and BBQ grill; microwave; dishwasher; separate outdoor gas BBQ; washing machine and dryer.
Queenstown Apartment
Three-bedroom & two or three bathroom self-catering luxury apartments in the heart of Queenstown. All apartments overlook Queenstown Bay and the tree-lined promontory of the Queenstown Gardens, beyond which is a stunning view of the beautiful mountain range "The Remarkables". Easy walk to a wide variety of restaurants.
Riverview Cottage
This Riverview Cottage has enormous windows to take full advantage of its sweeping views down the Cass River and across to the Puketeraki Range - the heart of the Arthur's Pass National Park. It is built to fit in with the surrounding environment in a modern, alpine style.
It features two Junior Suite bedrooms of 550 sq ft, each with their own gas fireplace, walkthrough wardrobes, separate toilets, and spacious bathrooms with individual vanities and jacuzzi baths. In addition, both rooms have a king or twin single beds, comfortable armchairs, antique desk, internet port, and a deck with outdoor chairs and table. With a full lounge between the two Junior Suite bedrooms, it can be taken by one couple that enjoys space and privacy or is perfect for two couples or a family. The lounge features leather armchairs, books, TV with satellite connection and video/DVD player and CD player, to provide a cozy hide-away in front of the double-sided log fireplace.
Wave Watchers Cottage
Wave Watchers Retreat is a private cottage situated directly on the West Coast of the South Island. It is in the village of Punakaiki at the Paparoa National Park, along one of the world's great coastal drives.
Wave Watchers Retreat is a self-catering, luxury two-bedroom cottage on a large, private beach front site. Both bedrooms have French doors with panoramic views directly to the sea and an ensuite. The cottage is equipped with a fireplace, flat screen television with SKY tv, CD player, telephone, broadband cable for laptop computers, full laundry with washing machine, dryer and iron, and a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, thermal oven, microwave and fridge-freezer.The cottage has three spacious outdoor decks, a large covered verandah, outdoor furniture, gas barbecue, a delightful garden, and an unbelievable view of sunset over the thundering Tasman Sea and wind-weathered Punakaiki "pancake" Rocks.
