Newsletter 2011
Dear Fellow Fly Fisherman,
For more than 20 years we have explained to our clients the unique challenge and style of fly fishing in New Zealand.
We have told anglers how sighting and casting a small dry fly nymph to a large sighted trout is not just a tradition - it is the most productive way to fish in New Zealand.
We highly recommend fishing with a professional fishing guide in New Zealand. As i review the photos and trip reports from our clients it appears they are catching bigger fish and having better fishing experiences today in New Zealand than 12 to 15 years ago, despite reports from most other fishing destinations that there are too many anglers and too much pressure on the streams and rivers.
I believe there are now more experienced fishing guides and better equipment to enhance the New Zealand fishing experience, compared to what it was like a decade ago.
In addition to an experienced fishing guide, we believe traveling to New Zealand with the right expectations is also critical to a positive fishing experience.
New Zealand has big fish - but does not have many of them. If you simply want to catch large numbers of fish then New Zealand in not your destination. However, if you want to catch the fish of a lifetime then let us help prepare you for what to expect if you travel "Down Under" and fish New Zealand.
New Zealand fly fishing is our central focus, but we are also experts in the may other activities and accommodations available in New Zealand. We sell customized fishing programs to meet you exacting standards.
Most of our clients' itineraries also include sightseeing and other nature based activities such as golf, winery tours, bird watching, trekking, and sea kayaking. Each trip is planned around your wants and needs - we do not sell "group tours" or "packaged tours".
We invite you to meet our team and benefit from our years of Kiwi research and relationship building and experience. the Best of New Zealand team stays in the accommodations, participates in the local activities, and samples the local cuisine.
We personally check out your travel options before recommending them to you. We have worked hard to earn our reputation as "The Best" go to agency for New Zealand.
