Wildwood Lodge - Rotorua Luxury Accommodation
Wildwood is set on the shores of Lake Rotoehu, one of Rotorua's prettiest and most sheltered lakes. It is one of the largest privately owned lake edge properties in the North Island, enjoying over five acres of landscaped grounds and 200 meters of private lake frontage.
It is set in the midst a cluster of lakes, all of which offer exceptional fishing, and within comfortable driving distance of over thirty rivers and streams. It is conveniently located, being only 15 minutes from Rotorua airport, 20 minutes from Rotorua city, and 45 minutes from the beautiful East Coast beaches.
Rotorua is renowned for it's geothermal activity and is the gateway to New Zealand's only continually active volcano, White Island. It is also the home of Maori culture, has wonderful bush walks and forest cycling tracks, white water rafting and a host of other activities for those who prefer not to fish.
The area is steeped in Maori history and the legendary route of Hongi Hika, an early Maori warrior, is a delightful walk only minutes from the Lodge. A golf course and thermal pools are also only 2 minutes away.
An on site helipad and float plane docking facilities on the private beach below the Lodge provide access to a number of these wonderful activities.

Wildwood is the most recently constructed luxury Lodge in the Rotorua area and offers exclusive accommodation for only six guests.
It is owner-operated offering a very high level of personal service, with a fully inclusive tariff for all meals, alcohol, wines and wireless internet. There are no extras at Wildwood.
The Lodge has a guest house with private spa pool off the bedroom and two guest suites in the main dwelling. All accommodation options are spacious, have well appointed en suite bathrooms, baggage and dressing rooms, and private balconies overlooking the lake.

The very best of Italian linens and New Zealand manufactured olive based body products are used throughout the lodge. A large orchard and vegetable garden provide much of our fresh produce.
Privacy is paramount for our guests, and no other properties can be seen from anywhere on the entire estate. The lake itself has few other residents and water craft are rarely seen.
The Lodge has riparian ownership to the water's edge, and shoreline fishing and activities from the Lodge grounds is for the exclusive use of our guests. The Lodge is particularly well appointed with ducted central heating and air conditioning, open fire for the cooler months, large well stocked library and theatre with 100 inch screen. It has an extensive 1,000 bottle wine cellar offering a wonderful selection of New Zealand wines and one of the finest fishing tackle rooms in the country, carrying exclusively Sage and Simms tackle and outwear for the complementary use of our guests.
It is contemporary in design, and tastefully furnished with a blend of both modern and genuine 17th and 18th century English furniture. The artwork in the Lodge is a wonderful example of some of the country's finest and most recognised artists and sculptors.
Wildwood is a very special place for the discerning traveller and angler.
