Bed & Breakfast

A popular choice for couples traveling throughout the country are Bed and Breakfasts. All but a lost art in the United States, the skills to provide a comfortable and charming temporary stay in the country is still very much a part of the Kiwi culture. New Zealand does not have the freeway infrastructure of the United States so pulling into a small town with a cozy B&B is a great way to get a great sleep and usually a really good breakfast. 

Usually located closer to more populated areas one should expect these purpose-built accommodations to range in price and number of rooms, however all have been designed from the ground up to provide comfort and charm for the visiting traveler. A large part of the appeal for B&Bs is meeting the New Zealanders that own and run them- providing great conversation and an authentic travel learning experience.
